Set it up once, then just listen.

  1. Add your shows

    Search the Apple Podcasts directory, paste any RSS feed, or bring your shows over from another app with OPML.

  2. Your simp listens first

    New episodes download over Wi-Fi and get checked for ads while your iPhone charges. About a minute per episode.

  3. You just listen

    Ad breaks show up as pink blocks and get skipped as you listen. Skipped too much? One tap brings it back.

Good questions.

Which iPhones can find ads?

Any iPhone with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer) on iOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on. On other iPhones SkipSimp still works as a podcast player with pause trimming and speed.

Does it work with German podcasts?

Yes. The app is in English and German and checks shows in both languages. It even notices when an English show plays German ads.

Does it cut the ads out of the episode?

No. The episode stays exactly as the publisher sent it. SkipSimp jumps over the ad while you listen, like you would with the skip button, minus reaching for your phone.

Does it catch every ad?

Not every single one. It's very good with inserted ads and sponsor reads, and it learns from your corrections. If it misses one, mark it with a tap.

What about battery and heat?

Ad checks run while your iPhone charges and take about a minute per episode. If your iPhone gets warm, your simp waits until it has cooled down.

Do you see what I listen to?

No. Nothing about your listening reaches us. The privacy policy lists exactly what leaves your iPhone and where it goes.
